Sustainability Policy

The Monterrico Multiple Use Nature Reserve is committed to promoting a responsible management model that balances economic development, environmental protection, and social well-being as pillars of sustainability. This includes conserving biological diversity through actions to protect fauna and flora, as well as promoting the rational use of natural resources through research, biological monitoring, and environmental education. This will allow us to achieve comprehensive sustainability together with the communities, visitors, and staff. Furthermore, to support and strengthen the local economy, we will prioritize purchases from local suppliers, complying with university regulations.

OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY POLICY

The occupational health and safety policy ensures the implementation of measures to prevent accidents and incidents that could jeopardize the well-being of workers and visitors to the Monterrico Multiple Use Nature Reserve.

Preventing all associated risks allows not only for their identification but also for the implementation of appropriate measures to mitigate potential occupational hazards.

The institutional commitment to implementing this policy will ensure the availability of the necessary financial resources for providing equipment, signage, and supplies that will guarantee the short-, medium-, and long-term well-being of those involved in managing the Reserve and the public who visit it.
